There are no shortcuts to safety

Your Rights As a Worker

In New Brunswick, more than 1000 workers get injured on the job per year

Your Responsibilities

STAY SAFE AT WORK

1) RIGHT TO KNOW

You have the right to know how to do            your job safely and to receive training to        do your job safely. If you do not receive         training ask for it.

2) RIGHT TO PARTICIPATE

You have the right to ask questions and          voice your concerns about your safety on      duty.

3) RIGHT TO REFUSE UNSAFE         WORK

You have the right to refuse unsafe work. If     your gut tells you that it is dangerous, do       not do it. Go by your instinct. It could save     you from major harm.

  • Follow safety rules and regulations

  • Ask for training you need

  • Wear proper protective equipment

  • Report all injuries and unsafe working conditions

  • Perform and do the job safely
